If we don't the repercussions may be devestating to many of our natural resources.
JeffHighPlainsFlyFisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06687603070322008065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4532968024597948865.post-63385714409592677962011-08-09T23:36:16.017-07:002011-08-09T23:36:16.017-07:00Very well stated.

I think it stems from a generally poor science education for anyone who hasn't actively pursued a science education (i.e. a college biology major) in our public schools and universities. Science is our way of understanding the world around us, but sadly, it seems there are few out there who care to understand.Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08288928187563951613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4532968024597948865.post-13873323703988154722011-08-09T21:27:54.649-07:002011-08-09T21:27:54.649-07:00Thanks for writing this. You did a great job encouraging the journalist/publication to better educate their readers on the reality of these non-native fish (or other species). I can only hope that Ms Richards and the paper take this into account for the next time, and if not, maybe this will spark a follow up piece that will highlight exactly what you have written in this letter.

Well done.
